My To-Read Pile!!

Recently I’ve been buying so many books but I’m resisting the temptation to read them until I go on holiday in a couple of weeks. I thought I’d keep you guys updated with what I’ve been buying though!

First up.. The Inifinite Sea by Rick Yancey. I bought this mainly because I read The 5th Wave and so the sequal seemed like a good idea to buy (even though I wasn’t particularly fond of The 5th Wave).

Then I’ve got United As One by Pittacus Lore because I’ve read all the others in the series and I had this one pre-order for so long that I had completely forgot that I had bought it.

Then of course there is All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher because well..Carrie Hope Fletcher.

All The Bright Things by Jennifer Niven is another one that I bought mainly because I’ve heard such great things that I wanted to read it for myself.

Then sticking in the Fletcher family I’ve got Always With Love by Giovanna Fletcher which I bought because it is the sequal to Billy and Me which was simply superb.

And finally another Carrie Hope Fletcher book On The Other Side is Carrie’s debut fiction novel and I am so excited to read this (another one that I’ve had one pre-order so long that I’d forgotten about it).

If anyone has read any of these books please let me know what you thought of them!

Harry Potter Studio Tour!!!

Okay, so many of you won’t know this, but on Christmas Eve I turn 21, and as an early birthday present my mum and sister, surprised me with a trip to the Warner Brothers’ Studio Tour. I had absolutely no idea!!

Anyway, I just thought, seeing as though us Book Junkies are all Potterheads at heart that I’d upload some photos of my day!!

As you drive up, there are several of the Harry Potter chess pieces from Philosopher’s Stone. (I do apologise for the bad photography, but it was a dull, rainy day and as it was a surprise I only had my iPhone camera to take pictures with)

Next up, you get inside the lobby and there are pictures of the cast up on the wall, along with a Ford Anglia hanging above your head.IMG_0474

Then heading into the queue you get to see the smallest set every made for a Harry Potter film, which is of course the cupboard under the stairs.IMG_0476

After this you head into a little cinema to watch a short film and once the film was finished you head into the magic..IMG_0480IMG_0486IMG_0495IMG_0506IMG_0238IMG_0233IMG_0197IMG_0169IMG_0192IMG_0170IMG_0168IMG_0160IMG_0221IMG_0155IMG_0236IMG_0142IMG_0237IMG_0133IMG_0122IMG_0117IMG_0502IMG_0512

The true magic of Harry Potter was all the hard work that thousands of people put in to make every detail of the movies stunning (we forgive you Michael Gambon)c0297ce0-eada-0131-c071-0eb233c768fbWe are, and always will be the Potter Generation!!original

Review: Girl Online: On Tour by Zoe Sugg a.k.a Zoella.

Girl-Online-On-TourThe Blurb:

When Noah invites Penny on his European music tour, she can’t wait to spend time with her rock-god-tastic boyfriend.

But, between Noah’s jam-packed schedule, less-than-welcoming bandmates and threatening messages from jealous fans, Penny wonders whether she’s really cut out for life on tour. She can’t help but miss her family, her best friend Elliot . . . and her blog, Girl Online.

My Thoughts:

Again, as with Girl OnlineI thought that the sequel Girl Online: On Tour was also extremely predictable but that didn’t mean that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy to read it. Again, I think that the cover and design is in fact the best part of the book, and is definitely an incentive that draws readers in!

The plot itself is your typical boyfriend-and-girlfriend-have-troubles story which is more than likely what made the book so predictable (maybe I’ve just read too many stories). Nonetheless, that doesn’t make Girl Online: On Tour any less worth a read, and is definitely one to try, particularly if you have already read Girl Online (who can resist finishing a series), Zoella fan or not!!

Movie Review: Pixels.

When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games.

My Thoughts:

Yeah, we all know Adam Sandler films are basically like somebody ate some magic mushrooms and then wrote a screenplay, and Pixels is no different. However, I’m not saying that is a bad thing!! Sometimes, ridiculous films are what we need!! Pixels is a shoutout to every gaming nerd that the world has had the decency to produce, and if you’re not a gamer then you’ll still get some cheap thrills out of this film!!

Definitely one to watch when you are in a terrible mood and just need some absolutely crazy laughs!!

Addressing My Absence!!

I know I’ve not posted for a while, and I know I said my healthy problems were over, but turns out I was wrong.

*crosses every body part possible* Now though, it looks like they finally are over, and so I should be back on a posting schedule very shortly.

If you’ve stuck with me through this absence I just want to say THANK YOU!!

Movie Review: Inside Out!

I’ve wanted to watch Inside Out since the first day I saw the trailer for it (yes, I’m a sucker for a Disney film) and today I finally got round to watching it.

I enjoyed this movie, but it’s not on my top 10 list of Disney films, in fact it’s probably not even on my top 20 ( idea) but it’s in the top 50 that’s for certain.

I don’t really know why but the character (or feelings, I guess) didn’t really capture my attention and didn’t get me invested in the film.

But if you’re looking for a film to watch on a slow night, definitely consider this one, at least until something better comes along.

If you’ve seen Inside Out please let me know what you thought of it, and also some other great Disney films that I might not have seen!!

Until next time…
