Review: City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments Series) by Cassandra Clare.

I bought this book along time ago before a vacation with my family. When I read the blurb I wasn’t entirely sure I would like this book (or this series) but oh how wrong I was. City of Bones is the story of a teenage girl, Clary Fray, who, of course, believes she is completely and totally ordinary. However, she is thrown head first into a world that she never knew existed, the Shadow world, when her Mom is kidnapped from their apartment in New York. With her loyal best friend Simon Lewis in tow, she embarks on a journey to find her mother that gives her an entire new life. What amazes me the most about not only this book but the entire series, is how every single new location is beautifully and intricately described. Simply for description alone, this series makes it into my top ten list.

This book and the entire series is definitely a must read!

Keep reading xox.
