Review: The Maze Runner by James Dashner.

I purchased the Maze Runner a while ago (after learning that Dylan O’Brien was going to star in the film) and instantly fell in love with the entire series. The Maze Runner is about Thomas who is thrown into the Glade, which is basically a giant maze, to figure out how to escape and survive. We learn that although Thomas only remembers his name, he knows more about the maze than any of the other Gladers. Although the ending of the story is pretty obvious simply from the name of the book and is a reasonably predictable outcome, every other moment along the way is a surprise and is definitely what the makes the story excellent in my eyes. A story of survival. A story of escape. A story of friendship. This is a timeless novel that is along the lines of the Hunger Games (but this is so much better) and is an absolutely stunning read. Never have I fell in love with a book so quickly and so easily. The chapters are short so it easy to fit in reading a few chapters even if you lead an extremely busy lifestyle. This book will keep you hooked all the way through.

 Keep reading xox.
