Review: Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige.

Here is another book I purchased spur of the moment while on vacation when I ran out of reading material. When I was looking at the shelf this book just appeared to jump out to me. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite films of all time, so when I saw this book I just had to have it. This is the story of a young girl, Amy, from Kansas who has a painkiller addict for a mother, bullied in school, you know, the usual; who ends up landing in Oz with the aid of (yep, you guessed it) a tornado. However, this Oz isn’t like the Oz from the original story. It is the new Oz that has come into being after Dorothy returns and becomes all magic-hungry. An Oz where Wicked is Good and Good is Wicked. Now in order for Oz to return to it’s former glory Amy has to kill Dorothy.

In all honesty this book definitely wasn’t what I expected in the slightest, but surprisingly, it was refreshing and definitely worthy of a read.

Keep reading xox.
